The Irondequoit Fire District is accepting applications for lateral transfers to fill positions tied to anticipated retirements. If you’re an experienced Firefighter–EMT looking to join a progressive, team-focused department, we’d like to hear from you.

Minimum Requirements

  • Permanent status as a NYS Civil Service Firefighter
  • NYS Basic Firefighter Training (229)
  • NYS EMT-B or higher
  • Ability to pass a criminal/arson background check
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $48,404.94 – $92,745.66 (2025)
