The Irondequoit Fire District is a combination fire department that covers approximately eight square miles in the south/southeastern portion of Irondequoit, New York.
We respond to over 3,500 calls for service annually, including medical calls, motor vehicle accidents/fires, structure fires, gas emergencies, and marine calls, which include water and ice rescue as well as low-angle rope rescue.
In addition to responding to calls for service, our Community Risk Reduction (C.R.R.) Division is second to none. Our C.R.R. Division handles everything from child safety seat inspections and installations to school presentations, alarm installations, and regular community outreach events.
