Vigilant Apparatus Operators course
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Captain Jeff Serenati
April 7, 2025

Last week, IFD hosted an in house Apparatus Operators class presented Vigilant Fire Service Training LLC.

This 40 hour class captured eight of our junior firefighters and enhanced their skills on a variety of operator topics such as:
-driving
-proper positioning
-engine operating and advanced pump skills
-identifying target hazards within our response area

While most of these skills are covered during the recruit fire academy, this program focused on some advanced skill, particularly on IFD apparatus and within the Irondequoit Fire District.

Thank you Vigilant for your time and dedication last week!
